Hope - Part 3
The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. Joel 3:16
For the Christian woman, hope brings strength. The blessings of salvation include knowing that our future is firmly rooted in Christ. This hope is what makes life in this world bearable and the thoughts of eternity so incredible.
The eyes of the Lord watch the just and the unjust, punishing sinners and blessing the righteous. He knows exactly what our needs are at any given moment, and we have hope in Him to do what is right and just.
The circumstances of the day will bring disappointment, but our hope is grounded in the Lord. When we wait on God to lead us down His path, we are placing our hope in His plan being the best. We place our complete trust in Him with the hope of both blessings here on earth and the promise of eternal life with our Lord.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. 1 Peter 3:15
Being able to share our hope with a lost and dying world is a privilege and a responsibility given from God. That hope can often make all the difference in the heart of a sinner to choose God's plan for their lives over the sinful life they're living.
Do you need to reclaim that hope in your own heart? It's impossible to share it if we're not deeply rooted in it ourselves. Take some time today to dive into Scripture and find exactly what you're hoping in.
