Sunday Sketch
With today's sketch, you'll be able to combine some great embellishments with beautiful papers to make an unforgettable handmade card.
Start by choosing two patterned papers and two coordinating colors of card stock. You can mix and match them in as many layers as you'd like - the more the better!
After matting all your papers, place your focal point image in the middle, and then border it with pretty embellishments. A couple of small ones in the opposite corners will balance it all out, and there will plenty of room inside for the sentiment or Bible verse.
For my card, I chose peacock feather and white netting patterned papers. Then I coordinated them with three shades of blue card stock.
The two darkest colors make up the background, while the third one mats the netting paper. The peacock feathers are a banner running across the middle of the card.
The bird image is accented with the matching branch and leaf corner embellishments - all are beautiful and shiny in the light. They're balanced by using four tiny teal gems in the opposite corners.
This card, along with many other cards and paper crafts, can be found in my Etsy shop. You'll find lots of great ideas along with many journals and other gifts - come visit today!
