Sunday Sketch
Today's sketch will let you combine patterns, images, embellishments and a great phrase all in one card.
Start with a layer or two of card stock for your background, and then add a rectangle and a circle of two coordinating patterns.
Then choose an image that goes with your theme - a sticker, stamped picture or die cut will be fine - and a handful of embellishments like eyelets or brads.
Your sentiment will overlap several of the layers to tie it all together.
For my card, I actually started with the cardinal image and planned the rest of my colors and embellishments around it. I chose red and green textured card stock to layer for the background, and then two patterns in the same shades.
This made it easy to leave a small space for two pretty red buttons. The sentiment is double matted on coordinating card stock as well.
