Remember, The Enemy Has Already Been Defeated!
There’s a great line in the movie War Room when the main character is evicting the devil from her home. She says, My joy is found in Jesus, and just in case you’ve forgotten, He’s already defeated you. So go back to hell where you belong and leave my family alone.
I’ve had to remind myself of this truth over and over again in my own life, but never before have I seen the enemy working so hard to destroy the joy of Christians and their families. He can’t have our souls, but he does everything in his power to steal our joy.
Right this minute, I’m praying for several couples whose marriages are being attacked. Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve me from the fear of the enemy. Psalm 64:1
I’m praying about teenagers who don’t have the best home lives and are struggling day to day. Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve me from the fear of the enemy.
I’m praying for several people who have stressful work situations. Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve me from the fear of the enemy.
I’m praying for people going through new seasons of life, that they’ll not be scared of change and the future. Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve me from the fear of the enemy.
I’m praying for someone who suddenly thinks the truth is wrong and wrong is the truth. Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve me from the fear of the enemy.
I’m praying for our country and its leaders every single day. Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve me from the fear of the enemy.
The truth is that we are under attack by the enemy on so many fronts, but we don’t have to be afraid. The truth is that we are more than conquerors because our Lord has already defeated the enemy. We may be suffering for a time now, but we will soon see the devil and his demons crushed under Christ’s feet and thrown into the hell that was created for them.
The people in our lives need us to be praying for them. They need intercessors who will stand in the gap and bring their situations to the Lord. Our faith in His answer and protection is strengthened every time we see Him working in great and mighty ways. When we believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is in control and victorious in every situation, we see miracles happen.
How are you seeing God be victorious in spiritual battle today?
