Celebrate Fall With Chocolate-Walnut Banana Bread
There are certain foods that I associate with different seasons, like soup in winter, strawberry and lemons in spring and steaks right off the grill in summer.
In autumn, there are so many great flavor combinations to play around with. My current favorite is chocolate and walnut, and this banana bread is a great showcase for both. The recipe makes two loaves - so you’ll have one to share and one to enjoy yourself.
Ingredients:
4 overly ripe bananas, mashed1 box of cake mix (I used a white cake mix and it was yummy!)
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 cup walnuts, crushed
1 bag mini chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray two loaf pans with nonstick spray.
2. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl. Divide evenly between the two loaf pans.
3. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Edges will be light brown.
4. Let cool completely and store in a sealed container.
